I forwarded the emails received from residents to our engineering department, coordinating on this project with the County. These emails totaled 8 pages, and were in addition to the Facebook and petition comments where additional resident concerns and comments were voiced.

Where is the project now?

The County of Essex is now responsible to complete the detailed design of the corridor.

The County is also going to complete a traffic analysis of the impacted neighbourhoods and will bring back a report with recommended changes to alleviate current pressures. This is great news for folks that live on or use Oakwood Ave, Girard Dr and Maxwell Cres.

The next Council, and our representatives at County Council, will be involved in any next steps in advocacy on behalf of residents affected.
